Therapy for deeper self-understanding, emotional regulation, and healthier relationships

Sometimes you know exactly what’s wrong. Other times, you just know something feels off.

Maybe you feel emotionally overwhelmed more often than you’d like. Maybe you keep finding yourself in the same relationship dynamics, even when you intellectually understand the pattern. Maybe you’re burnt out, disconnected, anxious, stuck in self-criticism, struggling to regulate emotions, or carrying around experiences you haven’t fully processed yet.

Individual therapy can be a space to slow things down and understand yourself more deeply; not just what you’re feeling, but why certain patterns, reactions, relationships, or fears continue to show up.

I work with individuals navigating:

  • emotional regulation and coping
    skills

  • anxiety and overwhelm

  • trauma and relational trauma

  • attachment patterns

  • shame and self-esteem

  • identity exploration

  • intimacy and relationship struggles

  • sexuality and desire

  • communication difficulties

  • life transitions

  • grief, breakups, and divorce

  • queer identity and relational experiences

As a queer therapist, I especially enjoy working with queer clients and people exploring identity, intimacy, sexuality, and nontraditional relationships.

My approach is relational and psychodynamic, meaning we’ll look at the deeper emotional and relational experiences shaping your present life, not just focusing on symptom management alone. At the same time, I also believe therapy should help you feel better in your actual day-to-day life. Alongside insight and exploration, I often help clients strengthen emotional regulation skills, communicate more openly, and build healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.

Therapy with me is collaborative, engaged, and conversational. I’m active in the room, and I’ll help us notice patterns, ask difficult questions when needed, and make connections that might not feel obvious yet. Some sessions are deep and emotional, some are grounding and practical, and honestly, sometimes we laugh a lot too.

I believe therapy works best when you feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to explore difficult things, and challenged enough to grow.
