Frequently Asked Questions

Therapy with me is conversational, collaborative, and relational. I’m not the kind of therapist who silently nods at you for 50 minutes while you spiral alone.
I’m engaged in the room. I’ll help us notice patterns, slow things down, ask hard questions when needed, and make connections that might not feel obvious yet. Some sessions are deep and emotional, some are practical and grounding, and honestly, sometimes we laugh a lot too.
I believe good therapy should feel like a space where you can be fully yourself: messy, thoughtful, overwhelmed, avoidant, self-aware, uncertain, funny, guarded, all of it.

I work with both individuals and couples navigating relationship challenges, intimacy, emotional regulation, trauma, identity exploration, attachment patterns, communication difficulties, and life transitions.
As a queer therapist, I especially enjoy working with queer clients, queer couples, and people exploring nontraditional relationships, including polyamory and ENM dynamics.
A lot of my clients are insightful and emotionally aware, but still find themselves stuck in painful relationship patterns, struggling to communicate openly, feeling disconnected from themselves or others, or overwhelmed by emotions they don’t fully understand yet.
-
Yes. I work with clients in polyamorous, open, and ethically non-monogamous relationships from an affirming and nonjudgmental perspective.
You won’t have to spend half the session explaining your relationship structure to me or convincing me that non-monogamy isn’t automatically the “problem.” We can instead focus on the actual work: communication, boundaries, attachment dynamics, jealousy, intimacy, conflict, and figuring out what feels sustainable and authentic for you and your relationships.
-
Absolutely. My practice is affirming of LGBTQ+ identities, gender exploration, sexuality, and diverse relationship structures. I am also a queer person myself.
A lot of queer clients come to therapy wanting a space where they can speak more openly without feeling like they need to educate, filter, or explain themselves the entire time. My goal is to create a space where people feel more comfortable showing up honestly and fully as themselves.

My work is primarily relational and psychodynamic, which means we’ll spend time exploring the deeper emotional and relational patterns shaping your experiences, not just focusing on symptoms at the surface.
At the same time, I also believe insight alone isn’t always enough. Therapy should help you function better in your actual life and relationships. Alongside exploration and reflection, I often help clients strengthen emotional regulation skills, improve communication, navigate conflict differently, and feel more grounded in themselves.
I’m also currently training through the Modern Sex Therapy Institutes to become a Certified Sex Therapist, which further informs my work around intimacy, sexuality, desire, communication, and relational growth.

Yes! I currently offer virtual therapy sessions for clients located in New York.
A lot of clients find virtual therapy makes it easier to consistently show up for therapy while balancing work, relationships, commuting, and life in general. Surprisingly, meaningful and connected therapy absolutely can happen over video.

Your session time is reserved specifically for you.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice are charged the full session fee.
I try to offer flexibility with rescheduling when possible. If we’re able to move your session within the same calendar week, you’ll only be charged for the completed session.
I know life happens — this policy is intended to support consistency in treatment while also protecting the time reserved for clients.

You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy.
A lot of people come to therapy because they want to better understand themselves, improve relationships, feel less emotionally overwhelmed, process difficult experiences, or stop repeating patterns that no longer feel helpful.
Therapy can also simply be a space to slow down, reflect, and build a deeper relationship with yourself.

The consultation is a chance for us to briefly connect, talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, and see whether working together feels like a good fit.
You’re welcome to ask questions about my approach, logistics, or anything else that would help you feel more comfortable getting started.
